algorithmic modeling for Rhino

How do I achieve this overlapping of beams:

In this script:

Which currently produces this?

If anyone can provide a solution/suggestions that would be very helpful. This is very urgent so thank you for all your help!

I have attached the GH definition and Rhino file.

Hello Z,

I believe you should start from the rhino file and separate the curves in 2 groups (the ones going "right" and the ones going "left". Maybe even put them in different layers so you can select them easier. and while you're at it, remove duplicate curves (you have each curve 2 times).

Then, in GH, apply the same operations on both lists of curves but with a negative value for "X size" of [rectangle] on one group.

Get an INDICATIVE way to do that (but see notes with regard the required profile control in the rail "intersection" - closest, that is -  pts [depending on the shift offset applied)).

Note: this is a very expensive way to skin a cat ("twisting" beams out of synthetic wood = more than GNP of Nigeria).

best, Peter
