urban block division

Hello, i'm new to grasshopper, and this is probably a very easy code to break.

i'm trying to offset a curve (my block perimeter) and divide the area in between the original curve and the offset curve in to equal building areas (except for the areas around the corners which i would like to union into larger ones). later on i would like to be able to extrude these areas to different heights according to a distance from an attractor point.

i'm aware that the the way i tried to come about this task is unuseful and irrelevant and am open to new and different suggestions.
