algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi, this is an invitation for everyone to add an information or upload any of the relevant papers that are available on generative architecture (or related)... I add two..
we are currently looking to collect a sufficient theoretical information for a research into the generative form and variables that go into the design process... hopefully, this will add to the reasoning/background and revisit the necessary arguments... free availability of relevant papers is going to provide the resources and help for anyone currently involved in this search... much appreciated! b. vuksanovic

hey!

you probably know Michael Hansmeyer site, but it's always worth to check it out again ;)

Kostas Terzidis is one of the major architects working on that subject; it would be nice to have something about him as well.

Kostas' book "Algorithmic Architecture" is really good - you should read it when you have the time ;)

Also check this site http://www.theverymany.net, if you haven't already.

Keep posting ;)
not an ordered list, but things i came accross that stuck with me:

john frazer - an evolutionary architecture (http://www.aaschool.ac.uk/publications/ea/intro.html)

Malcolm McCullough - Digital Ground, Architecture, Pervasive Computing, and Environmental Knowing

Tomoko Sakamoto - From Control to Design: Parametric/Algorithmic Architecture

Benjamin Aranda - Christopher Lasch Tooling (Pamphlet Architecture)

the series of publications by the emtech at the AA school

most of the work exhbited here:

(was curated by skylar tibbits marc fornes of theverymany as mentioned above)

Kostas Terzidis was also on the Advisory Committee of the critical digital conference:

Great info! Thanks a lot ;)
Hi,

Manuel de Landa is also worth reading.

Deleuze and the Use of the Genetic Algorithm in Architecture

Also check his books.

Edit: Forgot to mention, there are some videos in internet. Just google them.

Cheers.
Carlos, thanks a lot for that text! It sustains my intuition and beliefs :D

There seems to be a "race for the shape" worldwide, rendering impressive images; but are they feasible for architecture? If they are, how?

Very good text indeed ;)
Quite intensive, isn't it?

;)
Intensive is the right word! ;)
If you're looking for a lot of writings about these kinds of subjects then I'd suggest looking at the following organizations/conferences as they focus on these kinds of issues.

Hi there Guys,

I found this website really usefull for computanional Theory really interesting. You can download all the publication in PDF format. Enjoy!!!!

Also, a very good book :

See ya
Hey there,

you could also visit www.architecturalgeometry.at

its the website of the author who penned Bentley's Architectural Geometry. The research papers are captivating.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Agneesh
Hi Davis;
the link is dead and no longer exist, I'm wondering if you could share another link to download and read your thesis, it sounds intresting and readable.
