algorithmic modeling for Rhino

unrolling a surface

Hey Guys

Please i know rhino has the ability to unroll surfaces. However, i am trying to split the form only along the blue line (per the image) and have the other edges creased. How do you suggest i go about this. I am not sure if this is going to need Kangaroo just because i feel their is some physics involved in how the shaped is formed due to the creased edges.

Please help.

Hi.

You can use rhino "UnjoinEdge" command onto your desired edges first.

And there are several plug-ins which can do unroll operation including "Lunchbox", "TTToolbox"or "Fabtool". Or you can also use "Ivy"
