algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
I need to aply circles on surface in unregular way to get result similar to enclosed sketch.
I tried to divide surface by 3 divisions and randomly selected points use for my circles.It does not work well. Can you please help me to find the mistake

I think on the example you showed (I think it belongs to BIG architects) a subdivision is following surface curves. Your surface is flat. You can change radius of circles depending on different variables but the ways I know for doing that does not make the circles denser when they get smaller. If you want smooth changes of bot scale and density maybe using voronoi is a better idea.

but I want to have 3 different circles big small and medium one randomly placed and extruded in z direction with different high. Do you think voronoi can do that?

Maybe a definition like this will help you; Make a grid of points. Define x, 2x, 3x sized square square grids using the same point grid. Randomly place 3x circles inside some of the grids. Somehow (i don't know how) find the full grids and randomly place some 2x circles in the empty grids and fill the rest with x sized ones. I think hard part will be finding the empty squares, but ı think u can filter them using dispatch or sth.
Thanks for idea. I tried something in your intentions - It is much closer to main conception. anyway still - some areas are to empty and others are ovecrowd.
Maeby if the grid will have wavig lines / none ortogonal / . . but how to do it?
