Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Alright Guys,

So I made this code about that would make a curtain wall out of any Planar surface.

This code is to help many grasshopper Architects build models much faster and easier.

Please If you have any idea about how to make the code more universal. That it would also work on non planar surfaces.

Feel Free to post improvements below

Thanks,

FYI: Technically what you have scripted is a Lattice, where the horizontal members overlap the vertical members. In a Curtain Wall the horizontal members are inline with the vertical members, this is required so the glazing can be installed into each opening.

Well ... it depends upon the aluminum (or steel: Jansen Viss and the likes) series in use.

Only in structural (avoid) or semi-structural (use) systems the glazing/panels define 100% the "front" application plane (with regard the profiles).

BTW: Things become quite (or very) complicated in curvy facades.
