algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am trying to use Kangaroo for dynamic relaxation of a gridshell,

My question is how to find the stiffness?

The gridshell is made of steel pipes, so I have the properties of the elements.

(OD= 15cm, Thickness= 1.5 cm, Section area =0.015 m2)

When I am trying with K=EA/L it seems that there is some unit problem.

Any suggestion??

Thanks

Grasshopper and Kangaroo do not recognize the current unit settings of Rhino. I'm not absolutely sure for every part of Kangaroo but units are assumed to be meters.

If your Rhino model is modeled in cm them units in Rhino and Kangaroo don't match.

I think for most practical architectural purposes you'll want to just stick to meters.

However, as long as you are consistent you could potentially use other units (eg millimeters, grams, etc)

While you could use cm, I'd recommend against it, because you'll end up with some unconventional units for your other values - stick to SI to avoid confusion!
