algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

I'm new in gh scripting and i found it very useful.

But.... I have a problem:

I made a script that:

1) create a curve

2) extrude the curve

3) subdivide a curve

even if i reparametrize the extruded surface (nothing of complicated it is a slice of cilinder..) the subdivision is not costant.

If I draw the same surface with rhino and then i set it in the script, all work fine.

Have you any suggestion?

at the moment I found a solution by rebuilding the surface, but i'm sure there is a more elegant solution

Marco,

When you say constant subdivision, I'm assuming you are trying to get equal lengths?  How a surface is subdivided depends on the surface domain.  There have been a number of good discussions about this on the forum. Here's one of them:

Other resources you can check out are on the tutorials page like Essential Mathematics.

David,

ok, after your asnwer my discussion sounds something stupid.... but now I'know something new

thanks a lot
