Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi.

We are working on a project where curves are flying around and creates floors, walls, etc. These curves needs to inform sections along it to create a loft surface. These strand surfaces are to be produced from planar wood elements, which is then bended and twisted. Meaning that i can unroll these surfaces to the xy plan, cut them and mount them.

Has anybody any ideas, definitions or litterature which might help me in controlling the curvature of the curves, the rotate of the sections and thereby by live up to the physical restrictions of twist and bend, that will let me only create develoable surfaces??

I have attached a small visualization of the goal.

Best regards Rasmus
