algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all!!

I am trying to make  tween curves with an uneven distribution, one controlled by a gradient.

Thanks for any help

Thanks Hyungsoo Kim!!

great!

Hi Hyungsoo Kim,

Nice solution to Veronica's problem!  I have a similar dilemma but with a difference.  I am looking to tween curves with the control to specify the distance from one curve to the next, starting and ending with the bounding curves.  Does this sound like a possibility to you?

Like this?

Exactly like that that!  Thank you so much Hyungsoo Kim for the accurate and speedy response.  Hopefully I can put this to good use =)

So actually your definition works great but I forgot to mention that I am tweening closed curves with quite a few control points and the tweened curves need to be very accurate to the bounding curves.  Attached are the two bounding curves in Rhino.  Please let me know if there is a solution for something like this.  These are just example profiles but they will always be closed and are always perfectly offset no more than 0.1"

I don't understand what you are trying to do. BTW,

Why don't you just use "Offset"?

I am modelling a guitar and this is to create decorative strips on the edges but I wanted to have the option to vary the thickness of the strips.  You are right, I should have just been looking at offset.  Sorry for the confusion but this helps a lot =)

thank you for this interesting solution to tween curves......I use tweening a lot when designing metal grills and I had never thought of using a graph as a driver.....I have since applied the same principle to variable piping and so long as I use two different graph types and the same number of variables I get some interesting results which can be applied to my forged steel bars.
