trying to extract or get the 2d surface

i try to make a 2d surface of this whole thing ... but when i get the wall thickness to 0 the whole wall just dissapear.. how do i get the 2d surface. and not the 3d surface .. because i m trying to get it to ecotect with the simplest form. thanks in advance

i cant open your file (i'm probably missing some plug-ins) but if all else fails maybe try projecting it in an XZ plane?

my initial try however would be to explode the geometries and then extract from each object the front face (using list item).

I would approach this by comparing the distances of your faces to a given reference plane.Notice you have some duplicate blocks making up you wall (see the darker areas).

thanks for all the help i really appreciate it . but in the i end i reconstruct the whole grasshopper definition so it will produce surface and not a block.
