algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hi all,
i'm brand new to grasshopper. i decided to try to create a 3d voronoi skeleton using this definition:
http://formularch.blogspot.ca/2012/03/grasshopper-voronoi-skeleton....
i think i've followed things more or less correctly, but have hit a snag. two components are showing red (i assume that's bad), and one is orange (warning?). some of the connections are shown as dashed when it looks like they should be solid according to the website. i hooked up a 'panel' and it's not displaying proper information.
one problem i solved (i think) is that it looks like from the initial box, two cords go straight into the volume component - i tried making this happen with the shift key, but it didn't work, and eventually i realized that the second connection actually goes to the scale component.
could someone let me know where i went wrong? i've attached my definition.
a second part to this - i noticed right now these 3d voronoi skeletons always seem to be constrained to boxes, and that the weirder-shaped ones seem to involve reducing the number of initial points in that box.. would it be possible to create a 3d voronoi skeleton inside a sphere or an ovoid or a more complicated geometry?
thirdly, although i'm nowhere near understanding how this would work, if i have a second algorithm that generates a bunch of weird shapes, could i somehow apply them to the 'exterior' webs of the 3d voronoi skeleton? essentially i'd like to make the exterior strands of the 3d skeleton to be all spiky (for example) while the interior strands stay smooth.
thank you!

chris, thank you so much for doing this. however i'm still stuck. i pasted your definition under mine to compare, and i'm still getting some red boxes.. the two look exactly the same to me (up until the errors, at least) except yours works for some reason and mine doesn't. i even hovered over all the letters to make sure the info was nearly the same.
i feel stupid for asking for more help, but i don't know what's going wrong. day two working with grasshopper and rhino. i thought i'd be better by now!
