algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey guys,
I've been trying to trim curves i got from attractor points out to make the surface perforated, but haven't had any success.
Tried with srfsplit > Sort > Item but still cant seem to get the result i wanted.
Could anyone explain what i did wrong?
Cheers,
Kelvin Karel

I think I got it working the way you want with just a couple of minor edits...
Someone who knows more about the difference between trimmed and untrimmed surfaces in grasshopper will have to elaborate on this, but you only need one of the list item outputs at the beginning of your definition to get the curved surface you're working with - I was running into problems because you had duplicate surfaces. After that it's just a matter of simplifying the data trees so that their outputs match (ex. output for both the surfaces equals {A}).
You can still run the surface split command and use the list item to pull out one of the surfaces. So long as the hexagons you have drawn don't extend beyond the faces of the surface, it will give you item with the hexagon void in the middle.
