algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Trim Solid

Hi, 

Im trying to "frame" the faces of the vornoi 3d i made, i scaled it, rounded the edges, but when i try to trim thath geometry to the original it only does for certain faces. Im i missing something?

Hi there,

My first suggestion would be to do with tolerances, however I wonder if the surface normals are causing this issue. As you can see from the image some faces offset inwards rather than outwards, and these inward offsetting faces are the ones that don't trim. When you flip the curves the faces that trim swap - so must be influencing it somehow.

BUT, have a look at this. It is a little work around to have control over the tolerances perhaps, so now you are trimming with a surface rather than a curve.
