Tree Structure

Hi there, Im attempting to create a very simple L-system/Tree structure that stops growing once it intersects with another line instead of overlapping and bundling. 

How could I go about doing this?

you need a test on your lines. Try curve intersection. If results = 0 intersections, then keep growing. If it is not 0 then stop growing.
