Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

It should be optional to flatten, or we even have path shift component. But when selecting one branch of a tree with structure {0:B} with tree branch component it could even go to those weird branches like {B} BUT GRASSHOPPIDYPIBDIYFUCPIDY it just goes to a flat list. So now I have to come up with some work around with path mapper or some combination of 100 components, or am I missing something fundamental with trees/branches/lists?

Ok so I need some sort of null values to make sure that my data structure doesn't disappear right?

Post examples. I just use Python when I get frustrated, to reduce things to simple list of list arrays I can debug by printing them to output to see them simply, then search Google for best practices on Python matrix manipulation. It sucks though when I then have to recreate a data tree for Grasshopper to use the result. Data trees are the devil in the details that try to substitute for normal program conditional flow and data structure, just connection wires. It's all a hologram of desire.
