algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to make a translational scissor script, but I think I am probably coding this the "slow way" as I am trying to connect piece by piece and relate the math. I want to just code the relationships between these x elements so that they follow one another to create an arc appropriately. Does anyone have any suggestions? Here is some pics, files, and my script.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Amanda

This works. Uses Anemone to repeatedly 'Mirror' the first 'X'. Set lengths ('AL', 'BL') and pivot points ('AC', 'BC') separately. 'Scale' affects both. 'Open' flexes the scissors.

Added 3D (yellow group) to previous code by replication of polylines and using their 'Discontinuity' points.

Thanks so much Joseph, what I am trying to achieve is a little different than this as it is a translational scissor (up and down members not polar members) but I have lots to work with here and learn from with this script, even just in learning how things are done. Thank you thank you thank you.
