Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there any way to transform (rotate, mirror, move, etc) geometry without making a duplicate? Every time I use one of the transform components, it leaves the original geometry unchanged and makes a duplicate. So the duplicate is the only geometry that is transformed.

I want to be able to transform the original geometry and not make a duplicate. How can this be accomplished?

You would have to do something (ie. make your changes) on the input side of the original geometry.  Grasshopper is a 'left to right' process it doesn't go 'right to left'.

It's not possible. Grasshopper always modifies copies because data may be shared amongst a large number of components and you don't want component X messing with the data that component Y is relying on.
