traffic stimulation tool

hey guys,
i am working on a small scale urban plan.. i wanted to know whether there is any traffic simulation tool or tool to analyse the spots for traffic congestion? just like ansys does for wind and structural loads..

it says it will take 3 weeks to verify academic status and stuff.. its there any other option

I am also working on an urban project... and just saw your discussion about traffic simulations... can you tell me how much time it took to verify that academic status? And did you find any better software or technique for traffic simulations?
