Topography Analysis

I just started using Grasshopper last week and have just been handed a project at work that requires slope analysis.  I have contours for the site and the goal is to indicate with a gradient where the slope ranges from 0-5%, 5-10%, 10-15%, 15-20%, 20-25%, 25-30%, >30%. 

My first guess would be to create a mesh based on the contours and somehow set up the above parameters with a gradient to show the range of slopes....but I'm sure there's plenty of holes in this idea.  Could someone give me some ideas as to how to achieve this slope analysis?
