Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there a way to connect a point to the end of a line that changes length? is it then possible to connect a line which scales in length and changes angle direction along the X Y axis?

Quite new to this and finding this query a pain? any Ideas?

Thanks,

Dave

Can you draw a sketch of what you're trying to do?  What is the final geometry supposed to look like?

Your verbal description seems a bit open ended to me.  I'm sure there will be  a solution to whatever you're attempting.

I have attached a J-Peg file explaining what im trying to achieve at the moment. I intend to take this format through to a solid object progressing through Rhino space. I figure it was easier to try and understand how I manipulate a line the way I want before I move to Solid objects. do you agree?

Hope this explains enough for you. I Appreciate your help on this matter.

Have a look at the Curve SDL component (Start Point, Direction, Length) To get an end point there a couple of methods (end points, eval Length, eval curve and curve point)

Thanks for the quick response. Haven't has a chance to look at what you sent properly, but at a glance looks like a route to what im trying to achieve. Really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Dave
