Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

Is there any equivalent class/object for the Twisted Box? I am writing a customized scripting component in GH for morphing. Instead of using bounding box objects, I found a twisted box will be more appropriate for any arbitrary shapes. In GH, a twisted box is formed by eight vertices. Any help and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Nope, sorry.

TwistedBox is defined within the Transform GHA library and thus not part of the Grasshopper SDK.
You'll have to make your own.

Hi David,

Thanks for your response.
Could your please shed some lights on this issue? Where should I start? Maybe you can help me with a general process of creating this type of object?

These are some questions is in my mind:
Is a twisted boxed simply like a Brep object with 6 faces, which share the same topological structure with a box. If so, edges that form a twisted box could potentially be not perpendicular to each other, or parallel to x- or y-axis, right?
