Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Afternoon all,

I appreciate that any nurbs object already has uvmapping for a material to use. But it you wanted to override it, for arguments sake with a boxmap for the texture to reference, where would we access this on the attributes?

When I reference the attributes of another object at the point of adding the object back into the document then the referenced attributes are carried through and override the nurbs uv mapping.

Is there a reason why the mapping isn't more accessible? Or am I just missing the correct approach to dealing with it.

Thanks

Sam

Having looked into using  rhino.sdk for this I still can't see how to point objects towards a mapping channel created within a VB.net component. Perhaps (and not for the first time) I am completely missing the point but what is the reason for texture mapping being so difficult/impossible to assign.

My problem is I want to render an animation but want to avoid having to use rhinoapp.RunScript..... to assign the uvmapping each time

Cheers
