not sure where you are going with this? do you care to elaborate? or provide an example? or alternative functioning script?

Not sure what you are referring to with "text along crv" .. do you have a link to another grasshopper project with that name?

 

There are several hacks within the definition, that (agreed) make it seem quite long.

 

But it is also compressing or expanding the text to fill the whole line, and finding the actual width of each character and maintaining the path data.

indeed it is exploded, which is what i wanted - and can be grouped if needed.
