algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello everyone, love the site. It has helped me quite a bit over the past year or so. Anyways, I'm trying to recreate a tessellated surface like this image by Matthew DiVito.
I've attempted using both Lunch box and Paneling tools, and can't seem to get a clean semi consistent undulating surface without going in with a cageedit bounding box and slowly manipulating way to many control points. Is there thread or tutorial I could be pointed towards, or does anyone know a good solution to making a parametric surface like this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you asking how to achieve the paneling or how to manipulate the base surface parametrically?
Something to have a look at in the mean time is the attached file which I have slightly adapted, from another recent question, to make triangular panels although it looks like your sample is hex based.
