algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi I am trying to create a tensile structure similar to this. But for some reason, nothing is happening. I have set the points on both the edges of the surface and inner circles as the anchors and displace them in order to the membrane to naturally fall, but the simulation just stays flat with nothing happneing. Seems the SpringsfromMesh is no longer a module so I am using the LinesAnchor, and extracting the lines from the mesh and using the points as anchors, but same thing, nothing happens.
File is Attach as well as GH Script, any help is appreciated.

hi , first of all i think the mesh is very dense and makes it heavy for the computer to calculate it, but if you have a strong one it's not a problem.
Secondly you haven't plugged in mesh to geometry in your .gh file although you have it in the screenshot.
Third and most important the process you work with this thing is:
Before enabling anything in kangaroo and while SimulationReset is still True, everything in your rhino model has to be at the starting point (as baked). When i opened your file the points were already moved in the z-axis. So first you bake the points you want to have as anchor points, then you click on the toggle of the SimulationReset to get False and then you start moving around your points in the rhino model.
It worked for me cheers
Is it possible to post the file that work for you? I am going to try to undensify the mesh, but nothing is working :(, quite frustrated right now. I can get simple membranes to work, squares etc, but once I move into mine it just doesn't. I'll updated the ones I posted corrected.
here you are, just enable timer, put false and then start moving points.
still, i think the mesh is very dense you do not really need that density.
if u undesify, then everything has to be baked and set from the beginning. new mesh, new anchor points.
Thanks, I manage to get it to work, but when I set mesh as output geometry nothing happens and it says fail to collect data, so can't get the result membrane out.
Thanks!!! for the fast response .>.<. you have save me.
Here is the latest, I manage to get it to work with your help, but still can't manage to get the resulting mesh, it says failed to collect parameters? How di I get the mesh out or at which point should I?
Got it, hahaha well everything has to be done precise or the simulation wont work. Thanks a lot!! save my life today
^%$# Is working now, but for some reason can't get the geomtryout, it says floating parameter fail to collect data.
