Tangent vectors jump over curve near ends

I am trying to rotate each in a series of extrusions along the tangent vectors at points on a curve. To achieve this, I constructed planes using each of these points and their tangent vectors. However, towards the ends of the curve, the tangent vectors appear to jump over the curve. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?

hi rmf,

you'll need to either provide your rhino file or right-click the 2 curve containers and click "internalise data" and post your definition again.
