Sweep Points

David,

Would it be possible to expand both Sweep Components to include the ability to sweep points which would create a curve? Or is there another way to get this done.

Hi Stan,

What do you mean by this? Is it sort of an offset but with 2 different distances at each end.

Thank you for taking a look at the idea. I was hoping this could be as easy as just modifying the sweep components to accept points as inputs.

I got something similar by using the subject points to first define lines, then I swept those lines. I isolated the two edges of the resulting surfaces. But as you can see in the attached example, it does not perform as smoothly as I hoped. Your method works more smoothly. I seems theoretically, seeping a point along a rail should yield a curve that mimics a variation of the rail.
