algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Sweep 1 Rail doesn't seem to be working...

I'm attempting to play around with the algorithm in IMAGE1, but although I believe I put in the algorithm correctly, Grasshopper seems to be getting stuck on Sweep 1 Rail as you can see in IMAGE2.  

Due to my rather complex sweep1rail attempt not working, I tested the algorithm with the most simple sweep1rail I could think of (7 circles strong along a straight line) and the result was IMAGE3, which is the exact same result as the more complex models.

FYI: "Rail" is a Curve and "Sorting" is Merge, if that helps any.

Here is a very simple alternative to Sweep1 that may or may not be useful for your purpose.
