algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi,

i was working with t-splines and now i have an organic form, a t-spline surface. if i convert it back to rhino's surface it is going to be a polysurface, a brep.
so, what i want is to use this brep for surface boxing and box morphing. is there any chance? what can i do? (i can convert it to a mesh, if it is useful)

thx!

You still can use box morphing, you'll have to explode the brep into individual surfaces. If you are going to use each of the surface's uv domain for arranging the boxes into a grid, you'll probably have a problem where the surfaces meet. If you want continuity you'll have to do a bit more of work. You can either:
- Try to make each of the surface's uv space match each others direction.
- Try to model everything using a single surface
- Create a single surface that roughly matches your original brep, divide it's domain and project it onto the original surfaces, use those points for the bottom box corners.
There are also ways of creating grids over surfaces that don't use directly the underlying domain.
