algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I am trying to trim multiple beam surfaces with another surface. When I do this the surface parts of the beams that I want to be trimmed get trimmed. But by doing this extra triangangle parts are created. The triangle parts follow the shape of the boundary object. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Best regards,

Jasper

Hi Jasper,

you would have a better chance of getting an answer by providing the definition (with the objects internalised)

just ffom the image, i would suggest you try the following:

try grafting the A input of the [Mdif],

try using another component (such as [SDif])

try having a closed brep to subtract...

...post the definition.

Thank you very much Nikos for your quick reply! I solved my problem by doing what you told me. I used closed breps. Still don't know what goes wrong when you use planar surfaces to trim but with closed breps I did the trick.

Kind regards,
