Surface to Mesh

Hi,

Maybe it is a very basic question, I'm not sure...

I want to convert a Surface into a Mesh, but current surface mesh component has only U and V inputs, but I want to control mesh size with dimensions.

is it possible with any component, or any extension&plug-in etc.

other option is kangaroo mesh machine it also supports breps, surfaces
