Are you trying to roll a mathematical surface with no thickness or a real surface with thickness?  It seems like rolling a mathematical surface would not be too difficult.

just to start, rolling a mathemtical surface would be enough....later I will have to roll a surface with thickness...

any idea will be great!

thanks a lot! I finally used a rhino spiral and make some points do the curve all along...(the points make a surface, too)
