surface patch - inflatable meshes with anchor points

Hi,

Though I don´t know if the discussions topic is rather a GH or kangaroo one;

It affords probably right coding in GH.

Mapping a closed mesh (volume) on surfaces and inflating them by using the edges as anchor points is my issue.

How can I sort the points of the meshes that way that the anchorpoints are on position of the points found by pulling to geometry?

Rhinofile and GH file attached.

I couldn´t achieve a solution yet,

except of interrupting the GH design at this point and continue with step by step solution.

If someone could anyway comment my question at least.

---Is the answer to obvious (and easy to handle - I cannot find it however).

---Is a solution only achievable with scripting (?)

---Is it a matter of how the GH works, so the solution I´m expecting is not achievable.

Thanks for any comment,

Hi Angelos,

I can't really comment on Kangaroo, maybe someone else with more knowledge of it can help there.

I can say I try to make the StructDrawRhino options for these types of tasks as easy to use as I can.  I've attached an image and result for you to see if this is your intended result.

Cheers,

Jon

thanks Jon,

at least I see it working,

this Inflate mesh component that you are using, is it implemented in one of your plugins?

Angelos

Yes,  I have an inflate component as part of the computational geometry tools in StructDrawRhino plugin.  http://www.geometrygym.com/downloads  My tools certainly aren't capable of generating as advanced options or forms as Kangaroo, but the trade off is I think they are simpler to use.

Cheers,

Jon

I see,

so it could be seen as further help, getting a quick overall-picture, and then switch to e.g. membrane-software, one step earlier.

thanks again for your reply,

angelos
