algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
I'd like to use Surface Morph having different heights for different domains u,v
In the Surface Morph component I have to fix one value for w and this way all the geometries have the same height.
Can someone suggest a method to map w in funcion of u and v so that I can decide a w value for each couple (u,v)?
Thank you in advance
Maurizio

Here's an example of 2 sets of different heights at different domains of UV
Danny,
I've tried with your file but with Entwine I can put only 3 box. I want to put any number of box on a surface. Why I can't with the file attached? Is there any way to modify your definition in order to put more than 3 boxes?
Hi,
If you use Danny's def you can add through the ZUI (at the entwine component) as many domains as you like, hence more retrieved boxes from the surface morph component..

Hi Marios,
thank you for reply; the problem is that I want to regulate number of domains dinamically by a slider. In the file I attached is there a possible solution?

Maurizio
Thank you Marios,
but I want to put boxes on all the plane: if I divide U domain in 4 parts and V domain in 3 parts I'll have 12 boxes with 12 different heights in W
How can be done?

Maurizio
Marios,

Sure, there you go.
Marios
Entwine was just an easy way for me to get two branches of objects etc.
There are other ways to achieve this but I think Marios is on the case.
I agree with you Danny. Not only there are other ways, but also a lot easier ones. It is a nice investigation for Maurizio in terms of data handling though.
