algorithmic modeling for Rhino

"Subsurface is invalid because the trimming U-domain is singular."

Can one of you pros please help me with this one? I am following the tutorial pdf from Lift Architects and I am stuck here with this error:

Also if you have time could someone explain why? ...I am really trying to learn.

Also maybe I have the wrong component because the tutorial is from GH.6 I have the latest GH.9

right click and reparameterize the surface after loft.
