Clusters? They are being rewritten. David has spoken about it a few times. From what he said it sounds they will be more like a def. within a def. instead of just condensing components.

That is would be very good for recursive stuffs. Indeed, you could call a component inside the same component.

Umm..Probably not...At the moment, there are no tools for controlling recursion, which just means it'll create an infinite loop. Code is still the best tool for recursion.
