Hi.

You seem to have a misunderstanding of "Boolean" values. the Boolean is a data type, having two values.(usually denoted true and false)

Whereas  what you'd really like to do might be "Boolean operation" which means operations over the algebra of geometry sets(union, intersection, etc.)

Check attachment. You can use "Trim Solid".

Thanks for your help! This is exactly what I have tried to work on. 

Oh.. I think I have the misunderstanding of Boolean. Thanks for introducing the trim solid to me. It is so useful!
