Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello, im thinking about using this type of structure in my project to hold the roof :

Imagini pentru kings cross london construction

also the facades should look like this:

i got all the plans in autocad, so my questions are:

how can i make that type of roof that will touch the ground starting with a specific perimeter (imported the area from autocad - how should i model this one) and second how can i makes some structural trees that are rotating on to the roof to continue the structural of the roof same roof that should be model in the first question.

i hope im explicit - i just start to study i made 2 towers but now i need something that will more then the concept i need to be accurate.

THANKS! :D

you can start learning how to model the roof as a surface/surfaces on rhino.

then you can use Grasshopper with Lunchbox plugin to create panels/structure http://www.food4rhino.com/app/lunchbox

And if i already have the plans in autocad can I import them and use that surface to model on it without distorting the plan view( only the section of the surfaces?

did you try to import a dwg file on rhino? you need to be a little more proactive...

hey manuel i just solve my problems with the rhino, now i know how to use the lunchbox to divide the surfaces into panels and extrude them as a structure but when i import the curves from autocad and try to make a surface (with loft i get a very bad result) like this ...
