Structural analysis for strut and cable structures

Hi All,

since Karamba is a finite element software, can we analyze cables means tensions with this software?

I want to extract structural analysis for a Strut-cable structure, is it possible with Karamba?

 The sample picture is provided.

Hi Fatima,

you can analyze cables with Karamba3D using truss elements and 2nd order theory analysis (see Analyze_ThII_Truss.gh in 'Examples/TestExamples' the Karamba installation folder which you can reach by double-clicking on the Karamba Desktop icon).

The cables need to be prestressed in such a way that they are always under tension.
