Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to create a loft between different curves. But at the second curve, the loft twists, without knowing why. While the curves are above each other. I am trying to solve this, and create a straight loft between the curves. But I don't know how to do that.

One thing I noticed is that you have a mirror image of this surface that lofted without the twist, as expected.  Without digging any further, I'd guess your bottom curve has the opposite direction from the curves above it, for some reason?  That can be fixed, but if the two surfaces are mirror images(?), why bother lofting it twice instead of using 'Mirror'?

Thanks for your reaction. How could I change the direction of the curve easily?

Isn't it possible to change the options of the loft? And make every curve the same direction?

I used 'List Item' to make sure I got the right one:

I don't have Lunchbox installed though, so my copy of the file (attached) might be missing something?

Hi

I tried using your script, but some of the lofts are still twisting at one point?

How can I solve this?

Another question, the 3th and 4th loft have to come together at the two top curves, how can I join these lofts?

Hi Maria, in this case you could 'align' the curves you want to loft beforehand by using the FlipCurve component (Curve > Utils tab), and use the first curve as a guide (to align the others). The SplitList lives in Sets > Lists tab.

THanks now it is working!

Another question, the 3th and 4th loft have to come together at the two top curves, how can I join these lofts?

I guess you meant the 3rd and 4th loft from the top in your definition, but these are on opposing sides of the building so I don't understand how you want to 'join' these...
but I did some more guessing: a sweep/blend.
