strange point display behaviour

The transformed curve is as the expected location while it's points are not.

I've extracted a part of a larger drawing and I've been able to reproduce this bug after opening the exported data. This time points were much closer to the transformed curve.

I can't see an obvious problem with the file you posted. The points are not on the second curve, but then they're not supposed to be because they are control-points, not interpolation-points.

Can you post the file that shows the huge discrepancy, or -if it is sensitive data- can you email it to my mcneel address? (david@mcneel.com)

Is it possible that it's a error in the drawing pipeline? I believe I've encountered this before, if you change the display mode back to cross display for points, do they show correctly?

Yep, it works indeed. Both 'dot' and 'point' preview styles gives the wrong results while cross style is just fine.
