Strange behavior when chaning values - bug in grasshopper?!?

Hi,

i have a strange Problem here in my grasshopper file: it is fine, when it is like this:

But when i start changing Values on my definition (for example the sitze of that bowl on top of the geometry) it completely destroys my geometry. --> like this:

I have no clue what this could be. Is that a normal behavior of Grasshopper? or is that related to my definition?! Or a bug?

Any help would be awesome!

Thanks a lot!!!

PS.: i attached the Definition...

the cause of your problem has to to with when you offset the curves.

Some of them are offsetting outwards

the offset component is not always predictable.

(notice as you change some of the inputs, some of the curves offfset in the wrong direction.

There are two easy fixes:

1. try to control the offset plane of each curve by specifying an offset plane for each curve (see solution below)

2. Offset all curves in the negative and positive direction, compare the results and cull the larger (or smaller ones)

(#2 was a suggestion by Vicent2 in a similar discussion here:)

Wow!! Awesome! Thats a nice idea.

I try to offset them in both directions, but i stuck with deleting the bigger/smaller of them:

im that far, that i can find out wich one of the list i want to delete. But how can i tell grasshopper, that the index "true" should be deleted?

Thanks again for your help!

Cull pattern should do it, but as mentioned above, method one should work as well.
