algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I can't seem to figure out how to place a pattern on geometry. see attached PLEAS Help
I understand how it works for a single surface

Can you include a rhino file with the referenced geometry?
Attached is the rhino geometry. I thought this would be pretty straight forward im having a difficult time understanding why its not working :/ thanks for the help
Are you trying to apply the pattern of circles to the surface of the box in polka dot fashion?
Yes, I would like to use an attractor/agent that would control the diameter of the circles based on distance
shaum
please see definition attached.
geometry is hidden in rhino

Awesome Mario...would you have time to explain the difference between exploding geometry and Brep, I thought that Brep also explodes geometry? I really want to become more efficient with grasshopper. I look at scripts and try to understand what they are doing. So, that at some point designing with grasshopper becomes intuitive to me
you provided a geometry conformed by 4 surfaces, so a brep (boundary representation) is kind of a polysurface....at least that is what i understand
you cannot divide a polysurface with a divide surface component nor surface frames.
that is why you need to explode it in its parts.

Ok sweet...I created this simple script based on what you told me I am currently using a number slider to control the diameter of the circles. I would like for the curves to be trimmed away from the surface inside of grasshopper, so that when I bake the surface I don't have to trim them in Rhino. I tried trim with no success
