Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am an architecture student and a beginner in this software. I am not able to get a topographic model in grasshopper using elk.

This is the error message

Solution exception:Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

Parameter name: index

Thanks in advance!!!

Are you sure the Lon, Lat inputs are expecting a domain?

If they are just expecting an origin you could try the above which will get the centre value of the domain. This will then mean the file you bring in is centred to the rhino environment and 0,0 in rhino will be whatever the centre LonLat co-ordinate is.

(I don't use elk so can't be certain if this is the problem)

Yeah!! pretty sure (on the basis of the tutorial) but I'll try this and let you know if it works. Btw is there any other method to get a topographic model or contours for a particular site in rhino. I tried importing google earth to autocad and in sketchup too couldn't get a correct model.

Thank you for the help. :)
