SRTM error in Elk 2.2

I originally posted this in the Elk group but haven't received any responses:

just downloaded the latest version of Elk. I'm getting an error when I import a 1-arc second Geotiff I downloaded from SRTM. The error reads: ...the type initializer for 'OSGEO.GDAL.GdalPINVOKE' threw an exception--see attached clip. Might this be a glitch in the latest version or is it my error?

Any insights would be appreciated.
