algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Squarified subdivision

Hi, 

 I'm trying to get a squarified subdivision based off points. Similar to the voronoi component. 2d first then going to 3d. 

Any suggestions? Or any good leads for understanding the algorithm behind the voronoi?

Can you upload an image or a definition? It's hard to know what you are exactly referring to without some context.
