Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I am essentially hoping to recreate the pipe function except with a square section along a polyline  I have used a script to create a honeycomb panelling along a surface as can be seen in the attached jpeg.  I wish to turn each one of these panel edges into a square extrusion like the other jpeg i have attached

Im really stuck and would be really greatful for any help!

cheers

Hello,

Im quite new to grasshopper and came across your definition when searching for help with my work. It seems to me that something in your definition is missing when comparing to the image you have up above.

I am working on a facade system for my project with honeycomb mullions (they need to be extruded as well as have thickness) . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Just feed the surface component (the green one in the screenshot) with a GH or Rhino surface.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Thats exactly what i am doing but only seem to get an planar curve extrusion. Doesnt seem to give the honeycomb thickness. Below I circled the part that seems to be missing in the original definition file you provided.

Thanks.

This is just the Scale component, I wonder why it doesnt load. Which GH version are you using?

Loaded this old def on GH 0.8.0052 and it still works.

And if you are looking for a dense honeycomb, I wouldnt recommend this method, it is getting heavy easily. Probably better directly construct meshes.

Im using version 0.8.0004. Maybe thats the problem.
