algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all-

So I finally got my perforated metal definition to work. However, it takes a super long time for the surfaces to split. I have a really good PC at home: hex core, 3.8GHz/core and 32 GB of RAM. I don't think the computer is slow... I am uploading the definition. Can anyone help me make this definition more efficient or perform faster?

Thank you in advance,

-Augustin

As a side note, the splitting will probably only use a single core. Most complicated geometry operations are not (yet) multi-threaded in Rhino.

Except elipses lying on the edge you would be able to solve it using a boundary surface. (Just throw the outline with the trims in a list.). This would give you a big performance

Could you upload a definition or edit the one I uploaded and show me how I can use it to plug any surface into it?

Thanks!
