Spliting a mass into floor plates with area tags

Hello everyone,

I have few building masses that I would like to split into floor plates based on a specific height and project each floor plate area plus the total area of the mass.

I remeber I saw a video by David but cant find it anymore.

Can anyone help...

This was my first attempt, though its not what im aiming to achieve as most of the masses are irregular in form.

Hope anyone can help!

Moving the base floor is a bad idea, to analyze anything other than masses, that are extrusions of this floor.

Similar to Rhino, you can use Contour to find the floor contour at a given height. Then you can use PlanarSrf to convert and analyze the contour curves.
